Research is one of the largest and most important aspects of PR at DeNada. For one of our largest projects, we researched all of the publications located near retailers that DeNada works with. First, I located the towns of each store DeNada sells to. After, I developed a spreadsheet with detailed information on all publications in the area that related to DeNada in order to contact them about featuring us in their upcoming issues.
Additionally, I did a lot of research related to seasonal color trends, competitor giveaways, and popular bloggers to showcase DeNada's products.
I gained a lot of experience with researching Public Relations related topics. This project taught me that the specific words searched are critical for any project. When researching, one needs to create a list of key words to search before even beginning the research aspect. One must do this because the right key words will generate a much greater finding than using broad terms, thus saving an immense amount of time.
